Studio: Blok Design
The Civic is the flagship restaurant of the Broadview Hotel, a historic landmark in Toronto’s east end. Housed in a 126-year-old building, the hotel’s rich history served as the inspiration for a series of portraits I created for the restaurant’s branding. Each portrait depicts one of five influential figures who played a key role in shaping the city of Toronto. These illustrations honor the city’s heritage, blending the hotel’s storied past with a modern dining experience, and contributing to The Civic’s sophisticated yet timeless atmosphere.
