I Belong: Can I Play? is a heartwarming children’s book written by Michael Jacques and Heather Gale, with illustrations that bring its story to life. The book beautifully explores themes of inclusion, friendship, and belonging, following Michael’s journey to find a place where he feels welcome and accepted. Through my illustrations, I aimed to capture the warmth and emotions of Michael’s journey, creating vibrant scenes that resonate with young readers and highlight the power of kindness and acceptance. I am truly grateful to have been a part of this meaningful project.
