Commissioned by Josh McPhee from Just Seeds
CPHP is an ongoing artist project producing posters focusing on important moments in “people’s history.” I was invited to contribute with my artwork by depicting a social movement that, like hundreds of others, has fought for justice on issues that affect a broad spectrum of people.
As a Latina and feminist woman, the movement Ni Una Menos is significant and marks a turning point in the women’s history of my generation and the ones to come. Ni Una Menos has empowered thousands of women across Latinoamerica to speak up and fight to change the outdated male-dominated system of politics and ideas of what gender roles and expectations are.
